Koi Keeping.

Koi carps are undemanding fish and do not differ from usual pond carps. Thats why they feel themselves better in the large ponds. Nevertheless if the surface area of your pond is no less than 5 square metres and the depth is no lees than 1 metre so there you may settle 10-20 carps KOI 20-50 centimetres long.

Optimal conditions for keeping KOI are the following:

Conditions for keeping KOI do not have any difficulties and they coincide with the conditions in our ponds. You are not to feed KOI in large ponds with plentiful greenery if the number of fish does not exceed permissible norms. KOI eat origin plants.

If you have a small pond feed your fish a good quality diet designed for KOI. The most common type is a pellet that is made to float at the surface of the water. Offered at the same time of day and at the same location in the pond,you will be able to observe your fish as they surface to eat.

Remember: overfeed is dangerous as it may leed to fish diseases.
